VOLUTE DUO™ Removes COD to a Level Comparable to a DAF Unit

Background

VOLUTE DUO™ caught the attention of the customer thanks to its suitability for raw wastewater treatment and its availability for long-term rental on short notice. In addition, the customer was interested in YESfloc, coagulants, and flocculants, that provide the best flocculation quality.

Installation Details

The RVP-241 in combination with YESfloc® flocculant CWE35 and pH neutralization demonstrated very effective performance reaching sludge cake dryness as high as 29%, and a suspended solids capture rate of 99.6%. Customer´s satisfaction was clearly shown especially in the moment when they started finding out about the possibilities of acquiring a VOLUTE DUO™ unit as a permanent installation. The analysis of the dewatered sludge indicated the possibility to remove 67% of COD, which is comparable to the achievement of the alternative solution, the DAF system.
