VOLUTE\u2122 levert een bijdrage aan een wereldberoemde Schotse whiskystokerij door middel van milieuvriendelijke slibverwerking<\/h1> \n \n

Achtergrond<\/h3> \n\r\n

De grootste Schotse whiskystokerij die op het moment van deze installatie (2015) nog in familiebezit was, heeft ge\u00efnvesteerd in een eigen ingenieursbureau voor de recycling van haar afval. Het belangrijkste onderdeel van de recycling bestond erin de uitgeputte wash die bij het distillatieproces vrijkomt, om te zetten in biogas, een hernieuwbare energiebron. Daarnaast hadden zij nog grotere ambities. Zij wilden de gefermenteerde uitgeputte wash omzetten in diervoeder, om zo de volledige recyclingcyclus te realiseren. <\/p>\r\n

Oplossing<\/h3> \n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Atana Ltd. is er samen met de VOLUTE\u2122-ontwateringspers van AMCON in geslaagd een oplossing te implementeren voor het ontwateren van het digestaat afkomstig uit het ana\u00ebrobe vergistingsproces, op een wijze die veilig genoeg is om het tot diervoeder te verwerken. Aangezien het doel van de installatie was om energie uit het afval te winnen, moest de methode om dit te bereiken energiezuinig zijn en lage onderhoudskosten met zich meebrengen. Na grondig beraad door de klant werd voor VOLUTE\u2122 gekozen, voornamelijk vanwege de lage exploitatiekosten, het eenvoudige onderhoud en de technische expertise van Atana op het gebied van chemische technologie en van AMCON wat betreft de mechanische aanpassing van de ontwateringscilinder om dit speciale slib op stabiele wijze te ontwateren. <\/p>\r\n \n
