November – the Month of Trade Fairs |
By exhibiting at the trade fairs and attending the conferences we seek new business opportunities as well as a chance to give you a real touch of our products and immediate consultation with our sludge dewatering solution experts. Face to face meeting allows us to come up with great ideas together, therefore, we encourage you to follow us for the future opportunities. |
1. AQUATECH, Amsterdam, Netherlands We have attended the exhibiton closely linked to the Innovation Water Week to present our unique solution to sludge dewatering. At the same time we were open to creating new possible business relations. |

2. ECOMONDO, Rimini, Italy |
AMCON’s dewatering press was driving the attention of visitors at the exhibition Ecomondo 2019 where our partner, NTW Impianti, traditionally exhibits. As many times before we came to support them this year again. |
As the only screw press in the exhibition hall VOLUTETM caught an eye of many passers-by. |
3. BIOSOLIDS, Manchester, UK |
In the late November, AMCON team made their way up to Manchester, UK, to attend the European leading conference in the fields of biosolids and organic resources. The organizer of the event tried to promote the idea of considering biological sludge more as a resource than a waste. |
A lot of presentations focused on digestate dewatering after biogas production. AMCON’s VOLUTETM was presented by Ms. Ester Rus, the Principal Engineer of techno-economic analysis of post THP+AD dewatering options, from JACOBS, an independent consulting company. She confirmed the following: “High DS up to 30% on trials, with 8 kg poly/TDS, and reduced energy consumption by 90% comapared to centrifuge”. |
4. DWA CONGRESS, Stuttgart, DE |
The German Association for Water Management, Waste Water and Waste (DWA) orginized a congress based on water profe- ssionals sharing and exchaning their phosphorus recovery and sewage disposal safety knowledge and experience, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. |

Is your Oily and Greasy Sludge Hard to Dewater? |
Our technology was designed with attention to detail to such extent that among other amenities AMCON engineers and designers thought about those, who have to deal with oily and greasy sludge – such as meat and diary production, petroleum or gasoline producers, slaughter houses, fisheries, and others. One of VOLUTETM‘s many advantages is a self-cleaning mechanism which prevents clogging. |
Moving rings continuously clean sludge out of the the gaps in between the fixed and moving rings and automaticly self-clean the system and minimazes the flush water consumption. Did it catch your attention? Contact us! |

Control and Communication of VOLUTETM |
AMCON is a screw press specialist and as such we know that in order to get the most out of our machine, we need to consider what’s around it and how it is connected to the rest of the process. That means we also have the chemical expertise, incorporate control of the upstream pumps and level sensors, advise on sludge cake transport, and enable proper remote access and control of the technology. |
This remote control is often – like the entire machine – tailored to the end user’s needs. Some regular options are hardwired signals, basic I/O exchange between machine and SCADA system, and full remote operation of the HMI screen. |
We do this on the platforms of Siemens, Schneider, Mitsubishi and ABB. Each remote-control option can be expanded in terms of which signals are exchanged and which signals are used to control the VOLUTETM. Control by sludge tank level sensor, an external start, a polymer-station-ready signal, local key-switch, or others; we’ll happily and professionally provide end users with the most convenient solution for them.
